Technician II

 

Detailed Description of Work:  This is a permanent position located in Mayport, Fl where the successful candidate will report to the Planning Yard (PY) Configuration Data Manager (CDM) and provide the following support for all scheduled surface ship availabilities and AIT installations. Responsibilities will include:

·        Provide Configuration Data Manger (CDM) maintenance/modernization support for all PEO SHIPS FL ships

·        Perform sight validation for logistically significant equipments for CNO availabilities and AIT installations

·        Interface with the following and provide support as needed: Ships 3M Coordinator, Supply Officer, Configuration Data Managers, Naval Supporting Activities (NSAs), and Regional Maintenance Centers, Life Cycle Managers, Validation Teams, In Service Engineering Agents (ISEAs) and Type Commander Personnel

·        Attend all meetings associated with assigned ships availabilities

·        Develop and deliver weekly/bi-weekly reports and prepare metrics

·        Become a certified PEOSHIPS Program Manager Representative On-Site Logistics Representative

 

Qualifications for Position:

·        3-5 years USN shipboard experience (operational/maintenance) required

·        1-3 years experience as a COSAL Validator with clear understanding of the Validation process

·        Working experience with DDG 51, FFG 7, CG 47 classes and knowledge of the 3M Coordinator functions required

·        Excellent coordination, teaming, organizational skills and effective presentations skills

·        Ability to effectively manage multiple/competing priorities and meet schedule demands

·        Ability to read, understand, and interpret NAVSEA Installation drawings

·        Experience with Configuration Data Manager Database-Open Architecture (CDMD-OA)

·        Proficient in use of personal computers and associated software; including Microsoft Word/Excel, Powerpoint

·        Excellent interpersonal and telephone communications skills required
