Senior Project Manager

 

Detailed Description of Work:

·        Overall responsibility for LCS Configuration Management activities.

·        Work with Engineering, Design, PMO and subcontractors to create a plan to identify, capture, freeze and maintain contractual and detailed design baselines.

·        Define Configuration Management (CM) requirements/system tool needs for the LCS program and a business process map that details system tools, system tool   integration/dependencies, product work flow (both into and out of BIW) and business requirements unique to each system

·         Prepare various quality metrics reports and work on initiatives to assist CM in streamlining process flow and initiating process improvements within the CM group.

·        Coordinate development and maintenance of LCS program processes/procedures with authors, lead “read-thru” sessions, and coordinate all comments/review/approvals and CM/DM of issued documents.

·        Shared responsibilities with Master Equipment List (MEL) database Technical Lead for CM/DM responsible areas such as MEL Mgt. Plan and development of Users Guide.

·        Identify the need for and develop new processes associated with follow on LCS ships. 

·         Maintain Program Configuration Management Plan.

·        Interface with Engineering, Design and the Navy to ensure that required CM support is provided to all activities

Qualifications for Position:

·        Associates Degree or 5 years experience in shipbuilding or related industry required

·        Experience with Configuration Management Principles, change process, and EMCS preferred

·        Familiarity or experience using Configuration Management Information Systems and Computer applications such as Word, Excel, Access and Power Point required

·        Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills required

·        Strong written and verbal communication skills required

·        Ability to manage multiple priorities at once required

·        Ability to travel occasionally required
