Financial Analyst

 

Detailed Description of Work:

A non-supervisory Financial Analyst position in the Materials Division responsible for providing financial analysis in support of material EAC process, material spend plan and complex material acquisitions.

·         Coordinate the activities and provide leadership in the Type A, B and C EAC process on a quarterly basis

·         Participate in Procurement fact-finds as Cost Analyst

·         Develop financial analysis to support negotiations of complex procurements and support the buyers in negotiating the subcontracts

·         Assist in the development of the 5 year material spend plan

·         Interface with other BIW departments to resolve issues affecting material EAC

·         Utilize the BIW Material Control System (BMCS) and its various P/C applications

·         Develop material cost estimates in support of new business opportunities

·         Support management meetings as required

·         Support financial reviews of suppliers as required

 

Qualifications for Position:

·         Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business or other related discipline required

·         3 years of Project Management experience.

·         Proven ability to effectively interface and communicate internally and with other BIW departments

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

·         General working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) and general business accounting

·         Proven ability to evaluate, negotiate and prepare price/cost analysis independently

·         Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills required
