About
Since the 1890s, Bath Iron Works has been building naval and commercial ships. From its earliest days, it established a reputation for quality and as an industry leader in innovative maritime engineering and construction.
This chronological listing of BIW ships is presented for reference purposes. The various images included are (unless otherwise indicated) the copyright of General Dynamics Bath Iron Works, and we would appreciate a proper acknowledgement if used in a publication or website.
In most cases, the images you see are the best we have been able to source. BIW does not employ an archivist, so we are seldom able to help with requests to supply higher quality images.
