Keel laid December 1888, launched February 20,1890, delivered May 31,1890. 

Wooden hull built by New England Shipbuilding Company, 1 mile upriver from Bath Iron Works where it was completed. Ran between Portland and New York City for 7-1/2 years. Then sold and used to transport passengers and freight between Seattle, Washington and Alaska. Lost on rocks at Cape Mudge, British Columbia approximately 1911.
