Length: 322'-4" Beam: 49'-6" Depth: 19'-6" Draft: 13' Displacement: 1,877 (light ship), 2,975 (full load) Other Data: 2 triple expansion steam engines, 4,500 horsepower, 2 stacks, twin screws, steel hull. Keel laid March 15,1893, launched November 21,1893, delivered July 2,1894. Used between New York and the Eastern end of Long Island Sound until approximately 1935. November 4,1904 in dense fog collided with the Wall Street Line ferry COLUMBIA. The COLUMBIA sank though was later refloated and repaired. Scrapped at the end of World War II. |
