Transferred to the United States Coast Guard June 7,1924 and redesignated CG-3, for Treasury Department to hunt for bootleggers during Prohibition. Returned to the United States Navy May 23,1932. Stricken from the United States Navy List July 5,1934 and scrapped the same year.
