SOFTWARE VERSION RECORD: 1. Description
or Purpose 1.2 The purpose of the
Software Version Record is for the Seller to provide the Buyer,
identification of the version of the installed or installable software for
the deliverable equipment item(s). 1.3 For
the purposes of this SDRL Code, “software” is defined as a combination of
associated computer programs, instructions, and data definitions required to enable computer hardware to perform computational or
control functions. 1.4 Submittal Schedule 1.4.1
The Seller shall provide a one-time submittal listing the software version for
each equipment item being delivered. 1.4.2 Re-submittal is required when the
software is changed. 1.5 Preparation Instructions 1.5.1 Submit the
software version record to the respective Shipbuilder to whom the equipment
is being provided. 1.5.2
The Seller may select the format for submittal of a software
version record. However, once a
selection has been made, the same format shall be used throughout the life of
the purchase order. 1.5.3 The submittal shall provide the
identification of the software, including the name, version, date, and associated
equipment serial number(s) or electronic control card number(s) on which software
is installed or installable. 1.5.4 If equipment does not have software, send submittal
indicating that fact. 1.6

Remarks: Electronic copies may be provided in lieu
of paper copies. If electronic copies are provided, they shall
