September 14, 2011: BIW president Jeff Geiger (above) responds with thanks for the Citizen of the Year 2011 Award, presented by the Southern Midcoast Maine Chamber of Commerce to the team of Bath Iron Works, United Way, Trek Across Maine, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Habitat for Humanity and March of Dimes for their collective efforts in fundraising and community support.

NOTE: This section of the site remains under development. It will include news of interest to RETIREES, BIW FAMILIES and/or our neighbors in local (Maine) communities.

The BIW Ships feature below will eventually relocate to a new gallery, at which point we will feature a BIW ship photo-of-the-day here: these images are an extended preview. Unless otherwise noted, these are US Navy photos, and larger images can be obtained at www.navy.mil.
