The Portland Sea Dogs Military Appreciation Game is on Sunday, July 13, 1 p.m. at Hadlock Field! $3 discount tickets are available at the Employee Store. Tickets are limited to 8 per person, while supplies last. For those who work offsite, you can order tickets by emailing [email protected] or calling 207-442-2918.
There will be a Flags for Heroes ceremony before the first pitch is thrown. The Maine Rotary is seeking 40 volunteers (they can be family members of BIW employees) to stand on the field before the game to hold flags that will later be flown over the Maine Mall in honor of Maine Veterans.
If you and/or your family are interested in supporting the Flags for Heroes ceremony, click here. You MUST purchase the ticket to be part of the ceremony. If you elect to participate, Patrick Sence will reach out to you directly with the logistical information for the ceremony.
BIW families are also welcome to come down to the field to run the bases and take a group picture before the National Anthem. During the song, we need volunteers to hold the American Flag. If you are interested in these opportunities, you must be at the field by noon.
