BIW is excited to be partnering with the Bath Area YMCA on a new childcare facility in Brunswick that will support our shipbuilders. This facility at Farley Road, scheduled to open this September, will welcome 120 children into the YMCA’s nationally accredited early childhood education program.
To assist BIW families with answering questions and navigating the enrollment process, the YMCA will be on-site in May and June to offer additional Childcare Informational Sessions. During these sessions, the YMCA will present information about the program and current offerings, help answer questions about enrollment and provide information about financial assistance.
Now offering childcare slots to grandchildren of BIW employees! Eligibility has been expanded to include grandparents employed by BIW. Upon enrollment, grandparents will complete an attestation form to confirm family status.
Financial aid and subsidies are available to families who qualify. The Bath Area Family YMCA is committed to ensuring that every individual has access to what they need and will never turn anyone away from programs or services based on their ability to pay. Staff from the Bath Area Family YMCA will be available during these sessions to help answer questions about financial aid and/or subsidies.
