We’ve been in this business for over a century, and we know that many spare part requirements are time critical. We’re determined that you’ll get the correct item at the right price, and in a timely manner. We will ensure that parts and equipment supplied to you meet all the spec design and material requirements, and that they’re QA-inspected prior to shipment.
We stock over 50,000 separate parts, and we source 75,000 other items for specific shipboard construction and support requirements. Over 12,000 conform to National Stock Numbers. In addition to durable goods, BIW provides technical service worldwide for the Fleet’s scheduled or emergency needs.

SSSC Portal
Access to the Surface Ship Support Center portal is restricted to valid Navy users and DoD contractors. Log in or fill out the application to to access our Surface Ship Support Center Portal.
SSSC Application
To access the SSSC Portal, a Common Access Card (CAC) or Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) certificate (SmartCard, hard cert or soft cert) is required. Fill out the form below and complete the required steps to gain access.
SSSC-SAAR applications may be submitted via email or USPS mail.
Part I
The applicant must complete Part I as well as blocks 13, 22, 24, 25, 26, 27, 29, 30, and 31. In addition, applicants who are contractors must complete blocks 13a and 13b.
For BIW Employees Only: After completing Part I, email your application to [email protected].
Part II
For government employees or contractors, Part II must be completed by the government sponsor or his/her supervisor.
Part III
The applicant’s security department must complete Part III. Note: Contractors must include a valid Joint Certification Program (JCP) number and expiration date.
Part IV
BIW and the Navy Data Owner will complete Part IV of every application.
