Did you know, that the Assembly Building is 1,280 feet long and 131 feet wide, giving it a floor area of 161,840 square feet. That’s half again as big as a city block in Manhattan or more than two and a half football fields and more than twice the floor space as the White House. The first section of the AB was completed in 1971, the same year Crane 11 was installed, and was completed in 1981 with a new panel line.
